Membership Application Fees
There will be a non-refundable application fee of $25.00 for
administration costs.
The membership fee is as stated per
category. Once your application has been approved you will be contacted
for your membership fees.
Our membership year goes from 1st April
to 31st March of the following year.
If a membership lapses, the application
fee will need to be paid again when the member wishes to resume
membership.
When applying for an Associate or
Resident or Registered Membership, we need the following documentation:
- photocopy of your Diploma.
- course outline of Homeopathic Diploma
course attended.
There are four categories of membership in the
Society:
(1) Registered Membership
Registered Membership is available to
those who have completed the following requirements:

Credentials: hold, in good standing,
either of the credentials CCH, RSHom(NA) or RSHom.; or
-
Education: completed at least 500 hours
of formal homeopathic training and received a diploma, from a
homeopathic training programme recognized by the BC Society of
Homeopaths; or have attained the equivalent by virtue of long-standing
experience; and
-
Clinical: treated constitutionally at
least 40 patients and have been in practice for at least one year; and
-
Interview: interviewed, on completion of
the above, by a member of the Board of the BC Society of Homeopaths,
either in person or by telephone.
Registered Members have full voting
privileges. Annual Membership Dues: $75 ($100 effective April 1, 2010) or
prorated.
(2) Resident Membership
Resident Membership is available to those who have completed the
educational requirements, but have not completed the clinical
requirements, as set out in the Registered Membership category.
Resident Members have no voting
privileges. Annual Membership Dues: $50 ($75 effective April1 , 2010) or
prorated.
(3) Associate Membership
Associate Membership is available for
those who have completed the requirements as set out in the Registered
Membership category, and meet either of the following requirements:

Practice under a current license from
another health care profession, and owe their primary obligations to
the licensing organization of that profession; or
-
Live and practice primarily outside the
province of BC.
Associate Members have no voting
privileges. Annual Membership Dues: $50 ($75 effective April 1, 2010) or
prorated.
(4) Student Membership
Student Membership is available to those
who are enrolled in a homeopathy training program recognized by the BC
Society of Homeopaths.
Student Members have no voting
privileges. Annual Membership Dues: $30 or prorated.
Please Note: The BC Society of
Homeopaths represents professional homeopaths and those persons who are
in training to become one. If your training or experience do not appear
to fit directly within any of these categories, please contact us so that
we can review your individual situation.
All Members of the BC Society of
Homeopaths, regardless of Membership category, are required to adhere to
the BC Society of Homeopaths Code of Ethics.
